Rating: 4 out of 5.

Melody Joo is woman in gaming. As if that’s not minority enough, she is a Korean woman in gaming. Battling against sexist and insensitive co-workers, she fights to make a name (and a game) for herself. When her boss overhears her pitch a mocking game idea that includes male strippers fighting monsters for survival in a post apocalyptic world, her life is catapulted into chaos.

Adding to the mess is the attractive intern, Nolan, who Melody can’t stand because he’s the boss’s nephew. He may just surprise her though with a personality outside of his connections.

This book was an entertaining, infuriating, and wonderful read that gave a look into what women deal with when working and living in an environment that is predominantly male. The romance is so sweet while being modest. The spice level (level of sexual scenes) of this romance is zero, but the emotions were so sweet, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the characters.
